Abstract:
A new method for fiber Bragg grating wavelength tuning is reported. The Bragg wavelength is tuned by the change of strain induced by tuning the pressure of closed gas with two different ways. The relation between wavelength and tuning variable is approximately linear and the experimental results is in good consistence with theory. The wavelength range of linear tuning is about 5.4 nm, and the linear consistency
R2=0.998 2 and 0.998 9 respectly. This method has the advantages of simple structure and easy realization.
