Abstract:
By the incidence of an e-polarized laser beam on a Ce:BaTiO
3 crystal, whose doping concentration was 10×10
-6, two types of anisotropic conical scattering were observed, in which a conic with four-fragment was rarely reported. By hypothesizing one conic produce the other one, the two types of scattering have been explained with photorefractive-three-wave-mixing and photovoltaic effect, respectively. The calculated values of the apex angles of the conies were in good agreement with the measured ones in our experiment. Thus, it was verified that, those two types of scattering could be explained by those two theories. And it was also verified that, those two types of scattering, with certain relation, could exist in a same crystal.
