Abstract: A brief review on the researth of predictive control in the past ten years is presented. Upon analyzing the three basic principles of the predictive control, a typical predictive control algorithm is introduced in detail and several successful applications are exemplified. Then the present condition and other problems of the predictive control are explained. Finally, the potetial development direction of the predictive control researth in future is indicated.
