Abstract:
The effect of the supporter, promoter and sulfur on the hydrogenation of soybean oil was tested. The partial sulfur poisoned catalyst SN-I was made with precipitation method. By analysing the refractive index, melting point, iodine value, the component of fatty acid, trans-isomers and solid-fat-index of hydrogenation oil, it is shown that not only its hydrogenation oil performance but also its selectivity, activity and length of life are similar to the SP-7 catalyst manufactured by Harshaw Company Holland.
