Abstract:
When a special function resolver is loaded, the additional air gap magnetomotive force due to the load current in output winding reduces the function pricision greatly. For this reason, a well designed orthogonal winding is needed.
This paper proposes a full compensation condition for the additional disadvantageous force effect with respect to constant load impe-dence and arbitrary rotor position within preselected angular interval. The result here is useful to the design of orthogonal winding for any type of special function resolvers, while the usual sine-cosine function resolver is merely a particular case of them.
