Abstract: In this paper,a simplified equivalent stiffness formula in continuous fraction form is presented based on the mechanism of frame-foundation -soil interaction.In comparison with the modified Meyerhof's formula, this formula is more conformable to the finite development of structure stiffness.Meyerhof's formula is only a special case of this formula.
