Abstract: This paper presents a salinity-density statistic and analytic method for quality control over ocean hydrological data. The method is based on the principle that the seawater mass has steady seasonal and regional characteristics. By this method, a computer can process a vast amount of hydrological data and detect correct a lot of errors automatically The paper discusses how to use a computer to process hydrological data and illustrate some charts.
