Abstract:
This paper presents the experimental results of 16 specimens out of the whole 24 beam end specimens of reinforced concrete framed structures under low repeated and reciprocal loading;discusses the perforrnace of stirrup bearing force and the effect of web reinforcement ratio and distance between stirrup centers on the mode of failure, deflection ductility, curvature ductility, coefficient of work ratio and energy absorbing and dissipating capacity of, the beam end, and demonstrates the superior condition fo setting stirrup for well enhancing earthquake-resistant behavior of beam end.
