Abstract:
To reduce the size effect and investigate the bending performance of reinforced recycled concrete columns that conform to practical projects, the paper presents a repeated large eccentric load test on four reinforced concrete columns with a square section size of 600 mm × 600 mm, different recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratios, and different transverse bar ratios. The compression failure patterns, load-bearing capacity, lateral bending stiffness and the strain regularities of the steel bar and concrete were analyzed.Resultsshow that the differences in failure processes, failure modes, degradation of lateral bending stiffness and strain of the steel bar and concrete between reinforced recycled concrete columns and reinforced normal concrete columns under large eccentric compression are not obvious. With reference to the related calculation formula of the current code for concrete design of structure GB50010—2010, the paper calculates the load-bearing capacity of recycled concrete columns under large eccentric compression, and the results agree well with the test results.
