Abstract: With the ELID grinding device developed of the authors' own accord, such materials hard to process as carbide alloy, engineering ceramic and high-speed steel are precisely ground. And the surface roughness Ra amounts to 0.003~0.025μm so as to realize the application of ELID grinding technology to the plane, internal and external precision mirror surface grinding.
