Abstract:
The elements in serum, including zinc, copper, magnesium, manganese, chromium and barium are determined in the normal and type I diabetic children by ICP-AES. The concentration of Cu. Cu/Zn, Mg and Ba of the patients are obviously different from those of the normal children. Relationships in between the concentration of Mg in serum and the course of the disease and between Cr in serum and serum glucose are found. Cu in serum is found to be closely related to serum glucose, revealing a positive correlativity.
