Abstract: The technological principles, process chracteristics and the key technologies of laser welding with filler wire are analysed.Experiments show that the new technology could greatly improve the metallurgical properties and the quality of the weld, while demands less strict preparations for welding groove. Also, it is possible to achieve the narrow gap laser welding of large-thickness plate with filler wire.
