Abstract:
On analyzing the characteristics of the slag system of various self-shielded flux-cored wires, the High-BaF
2 slag system was obtained. Since it is very difficult to add BaF
2 powder into the flux, we chose tWo ways of granulation of BaF
2 to research into the powder adding in the course production of Self-Shielded flux-cored wire with High BaF
2 slag system. Sinter process of BaF
2-CaF
2 at 800℃ was used to granulate the powder of BaF
2. The problem of powder-adding was solved through this way. The produced powder has the characteristics of high density, better liquidity and attains the required strength. The research results also show that the SSFCW made by the produced powder demonstrates excellent processing properties, extremely low porosity sensibility.
