Abstract: The 3-D wavelet image transform was applied to the video coding of asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), based on the multi-resolution layered structure of wavelet analysis. The concept of 3-D and dynamic layered image coding is put forward.The relevant simulating tests show that this method is efficient.
