Abstract: The method of transportation demand forecast for Beijing during the 29th Olympic Games is discussed. The transportation demand of Beijing during the Games is divided into the normal public demand and the demand caused by the Games. The passenger transportation demand is forecasted by means of analyzing the passenger traffic flow, travel mode, vehicle demand, passenger distribution characteristics. The freight transportation demand is studied by means of analyzing the freight types, conveyance mode, etc. The characteristics of transportation demand of Olympic Games are analyzed and the tackling measures are also put forward.
