    A New Circuit Simulation Program Based on Waveform Relaxation

    • 摘要: 本文以波形松弛(WR)法为基本方法,实现了一个新的大规模MOS数字集成电路时域瞬态模拟程序WRMT。同时,给出了新的部分波形收敛算法和潜等算法,加速了波形的收敛速度。初步的计算已表明,WRMT的模拟速度至少可以比标准电路分析程序SPICE21快5倍以上。

       

      Abstract: A new circuit simulation program WRMT based on Waveform Relaxation (WR) method for the time-domain analysis of large scale MOS digital integrated circuits is presented, in which blockwise decomposition method is used and users are allowed to define subcircuits arbitrarily. The using of a special method for treating node variables of the subcircuits reduces the amount of subcircuit simulation computation remarkably. Both new waveform convergence algorithm and latency algorithm are introduced to accelerate the rate of waveform convergence.
      Preliminary computations with WRMT have shown that it could work at least 5 times faster than SPICE2.
