Abstract:
A mathematical model for point contact was established for ideal working condition.The model was validated by optical measurement technique.Three kinds of metals and a composite material were chosen to form tribology pairs.The impact of mechanical properties of tribology pairs on lubrication performance was studied.The external load was 80N,and the entrainment velocity changed from 1mm/s to 10000 mm/s.Comparisons of tribology and lubrication parameters,such as the maximum pressure,the center film thickness and the minimum film thickness in contact region,were made.In order to denote the trend of second pressure spike in contact region,a parameter named peak pressure radio was introduced.
