Abstract: At present, all over the world the study of prestressed steel structures has been developing into a mordern subject, marking the advanced engineering technique. This paper reviews the foreign conditions of investigation in recent years and gives various exampies of the prestressed steel structures already constructed. It also discusses the problems and directions of these research works in the future.
