Abstract:
In order to find out the removal efficiency of nutrient pollution of real saline sewage and the influence of salinity shock,a lab-scale nutrient removal activated sludge system,based on the MUCT configuration,is modified to treat 10 g/L saline sewage.The results indicate that after domestication of microorganism at 10 g/L salinity,the total organic nitrogen and phosphorus average removal efficiency can achieve 87% and 72% respectively.The nutrient removal efficiency was also changed under different salinity shock.The salinity shock,especially increased salinity shock,influences phosphorus removal efficiency much more than the removal efficiency of nitrogen and organic matter.
