Abstract:
The urban-rural conjunction areas is a particular product of the process of urbanization.Due to the dual urban-rural property, the transportation development characteristics in the urban-rural conjunction areas also have dissimilarities, and then cause some high risk districts on the highways. This article take Tongzhou district in Peking city as an example.According to the related data of the western project —"Road traffic database" of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the authors use spatial data analysis method, and divide the level of safety service (LOSS) with the accident rate per ten million cars per kilometer to research whether the highway traffic accidents present a specific distribution on the two-dimensional or not. Finally, the authors get the distribution map and then analyze the formation reason of the high risk district. An approach to tackle the problem is proposed.
