Abstract:
In order to ascertain the dynamic performance of the low-rise recycled aggregate concrete(RAC) shear wall with concealed bracings, the shaking table tests of three RC shear wall models, including a natural aggregate concrete shear wall and two RAC shear walls with or without concealed bracings, were carried out.The natural frequency, dynamic response of acceleration, response of displacement,as well as the failure patterns of three models at different loading stages were measured and compared on the basis of the tests. The finite element nonlinear time-history response analysis was also conducted, and the analysis results agreed well with the experimental results. The results show that the natural frequency of low-rise RAC shear walls is slightly lower than that of the natural aggregate concrete shear wall. The aseismic capacity of RAC shear wall is able to achieve the level as the natural aggregate concrete shear wall by setting up concealed bracings inside the wall.
