Abstract: Based on the analysis of highway transportation development target, the social-economic development target and their correlation an evaluating indicator system is set up which coordinates the area highway transportation with the social economy development.By taking China's mainland 31 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions, target statistical data in 2004 as an example standardized processing and the principal components analysis of the sampled data were conducted by using the SPSS statistics software. Three principal components were obtained.The synthesis score of various regions by various principal components score with principal components weight was achieved by synthesis computation.Finally, the degree of coordinating development of various regions is classified by the synthesis score, and the analysis appraisal is carried out in order to provide reference for explaining the coordinated development between highway transportation and social economy.
