Abstract: A series of site and laboratory tests were carried out in order to evaluate the detecting effectiveness for subgrade compaction. Based on test results, SDG shows preferable stability in subgrade compaction detecting, and the test values can response the density of compacted fill accurately in suitable range. With modified model, it will be possible to use SDG to density test of compacting fill in wider range.
