Abstract: A method to define the position of fingerprint by means of the core point and second core point is presented. The features are extracted after the print is divided into many blocks. In this way the information included in the print is utilized more efficiently. In searching the core point, C.V.Kameswara's way is improved and a quick algorithm is given. The codes from divided blocks can be used as a kind of independent fingerprint code and as a compensation of Heap system.
