高速公路V/C与事故率关系研究

    Research on the Relationship Between V/C and Crash Rate on Freeway

    • 摘要: 利用1条我国的高速公路连续3年的事故数据和交通流数据,对V/C和事故率的关系进行了统计分析,研究结果表明,V/C与事故率之间存在着相关关系,2者之间可用二次函数来拟合,曲线呈现U形:事故率在V/C较小时最高;随着V/C增加,事故率逐渐下降;模型显示当V/C=0.58时,事故率最低;随着V/C的继续增加,事故率又随着继续增加.

       

      Abstract: The author clarified the relationship between volume to capacity ratio (V/C) and crash rate using three years crash and traffic flow data of a freeway. This relationship can be used as a basic reference to predict and prevent traffic accidents. The hourly crash rate model, having an independent variable of hourly V/C, was established by regression analysis, and the relationship between crash rate and V/C ratio represented by a U-shaped curve. The crash rate is the highest in the low hourly V/C range, decreases with an increasing V/C ratio, and then increases as the V/C ratio increases. When the V/C is 0.58, the crash rate is the lowest.
