Abstract: For the purpose of precise control of metal transfer of pulsed MIG welding, a droplet transfer spectral sensor is developed and a special device of multi-signals synchronous hi-speed camera is designed. All of those made the sensibility and the control reliability of the arc droplet transfer sensor examined and validated welding process of one droplet per pulse and two droplets per pulse of pulsed MIG welding are realized.
