Abstract: The ancient capital features of Beijing is first discussed and then some misunderstandings in this field analysed. The necessity of the features preservation is expounded and proved with the view of sustainable development Three aspects, which great attention should be paid to are provided: preservation of traditional streets,,preservation of rivers and lakes, preservation of green environment
