    A Nonparametric Multiclass Pattern Classifier Used for the Prediction of Earthquake Occurrence Locations

    • 摘要: 本文采用一种非参数多类分类器研究了易发震地点的判别分类。每个模式类由度量空间的一些超矩来描述,那些超矩的生成使用的是由MANABU ICHINO提供的基本事件生戍(BEG)算法。新的模式的归类就是检验它是否被那些基本事件所包含。应用结果表明,这种分类器用于地震研究是有效的。

       

      Abstract: In this paper,a nonparametric multiclass pattern classifier is used to study the discriminatory classification of places where earthquakes arc liable to occur.Each pattern class is described by hyperrectangles in the measurement space.These hyperrectangles are generated by the basic event generation (BEG) algorithm provided by Manabu Ichino.The classification of a new pattern is performed by examining if it is incl-uded in those basic events.Applications of the classifier indicate that it applies to earthquake study effectively.
