Abstract: Much abnormal animal behavior a few dags before strong earthquakes has been observed, which can be used to determine the time of occurence of the earthquake. This paper describes guidelines in observing abnormal animal actions related to earthquakes. Examples of abnormal behavior of budgerigars in predicting imminent earthquakes are given.
