Abstract: The ANSYS finite element analysis programm is used to calculate the static deformation and dynamic mode shape of vibration theoretically which occur in the original or newly designed columns of the XA5040A knee-and-column milling machine. The calculate result can be used as the theoretical criterion for the manufacturer in column design.
