Abstract: It is pointed out in this paper that under specific condition the dry process of a drum dryer could be approximated as a firstorder lag system with dead time.In order to improve the system's behaviour a cont-rolled algorithm of a first-order digital type regulator(or a nonlinear regulator)with a local feedback of dead time has been applied.The algo-rithm can be feasibly implemented on a microcomputer.Results of study are given of the digital simulation of the system.
