Abstract: In this paper, "holographic method" for making random phase shifter is presented. The correspondence relation between the geometric configuration of speckle formation and uniform spectral spot is discussed. The distribution of light intensity on the spectral surface is measured. The experimental results show that the random phase shifter with sampling mesh can be replaced by the speckle random phase shifter.
