Abstract: The production process of tunnel kiln, may be disturbed by many factors. Its thermo-process is of a nonlinear multivariable system. To operate the kiln safely, an expert system for diagnose faults is developed, which diagnoses both the operating mode fault and the instrument fault online by mon-accurate reasoning. the simulation test result shows that the system is effective.
