Abstract:
To solve the problems of insufficient energy dissipative stability, complex application processes, low deformation ability, low safety reserve and low cost-effectiveness of additional self-centering components in self-centering energy dissipative steel frame joint between beam to column, poor applicability of performance-based design methods of self-centering energy dissipative steel frame structure, existing researches were reviewed and analyzed in several aspects, including the selection of types of additional self-centering and energy dissipative components, the construction of their connections with steel frames, and the performance-based design of the overall structure in which these types of joints are located. The shortcomings of existing researches are clarified, and the key issues of self-centering energy dissipative steel frame joint between beam to column, which need to be further investigated, are addressed.
