Abstract:
A review on the recent progresses in both theory and experiment of the distributed feedback (DFB) polymer lasers was summarized with focuses on the performance manipulation of distributed feedback polymer lasers. The principle of the DFB polymer lasers was introduced, including the spectroscopic characteristics, the coupled-mode theory, the Bragg condition and the emission spectra. Especially, the influences of the parameter of the DFB cavity on the laser performance including lasing threshold, slope efficiency, spot shape, wavelength tenabiltiy, emission direction and mode numbers were briefly reviewed. Finally, future development trends of the DFB polymer lasers were prospected.
