基于协方差拟合的MIMO雷达高精度DOA估计算法

    High Precision DOA Estimation Algorithm for MIMO Radar Based on Covariance Fitting

    • 摘要: 为了实现多输入多输出(multiple input and multiple out,MIMO)雷达高精度波达方向(direction of arrival,DOA)估计,结合协方差拟合算法和矩阵预处理算法给出解决方案.首先,针对MIMO雷达信号模型进行建模仿真,利用协方差拟合准则得到更接近理论值的协方差信号矩阵,用凸优化方法进行求解;针对噪声和相干信号对估计精度的影响,引入矩阵预处理方法对雷达接收信号进行额外的处理.然后,通过酉变换利用ESPRIT算法对MIMO雷达俯仰角和方位角进行联合估计,降低算法整体DOA估计运算量.最后,通过实验表明,本文所提出算法能在不增加运算量的前提下,有效提高MIMO雷达DOA估计精度.

       

      Abstract: To realize the high precision direction of arrival (DOA) of multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) radar, an effective solution was suggested in this paper by combining covariance method and matrix preprocessing algorithm. First, the MIMO radar signal model was modeled and simulated, and the covariance matrix was used to get the signal covariance matrix that was closer to the theoretical value, and the convex optimization method was introduced to solve the problem. In view of the influence of noise and coherent signals, the matrix preprocessing method was introduced to the received signal to be processed with extra processing, and then the unitary ESPRIT algorithm was used to jointly estimate the pitch angle and azimuth angle of the MIMO radar, so as to reduce the DOA estimation of the whole algorithm. Finally, the experiment results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the DOA estimation accuracy of MIMO radar without increasing amount of computation.
