Abstract:
Aiming at the moment and strain energy responses of deployable tape spring in the folding process, sensitivity analysis of mechanical attribute of the tape spring was carried out utilizing primary and secondary sequence method and Sobol sensitivity theory, and the results were verified by software Isight. Effects from geometric parameters on mechanical attribute were comprehensively compared, meanwhile, the sensitivities of mechanical attributes to geometric parameters were discussed and the merit and shortcoming of the methodologies were compared. This research provides the basis and reference for structural design and parametric optimization of tape spring.
