Abstract:
To solve the ramp control problem of the urban freeway network, a distributed coordination ramp metering was proposed in this paper. Firstly, based on the combination of dynamic graph hybrid automata with the cell transmission model, a traffic flow model for the freeway network was constructed. Then the equilibrium state sets of the system were derived. On the basis of this, a distributed coordination ramp metering was designed under which the system asymptotically converged to an equilibrium state. Lastly, simulation experiments for Beijing third ring freeway were done and the experimental results show that the proposed control scheme is efficient and feasible.
