Abstract:
Inter-phase flashover caused by galloping of transmission lines has become one of the most main disasters of compact type lines, due to the small phase distance of compact type transmission lines. In this paper, a continuous three-span analysis model of galloping was established by using the finite element method for compact type transmission lines. Two types of arrangement schemes of both general scheme and in thick scheme of interphase spacers have been provided four different spans. The effects on amplitude and the phase distance were acquired, which are caused by different arrangement scheme of interphase spacers, by numerical analysis for the ultra-high voltage compact type power transmission line under different spans and wind speeds. The numerical analysis results has certain instructive meaning on anti-galloping of the ultra-high voltage compact type power transmission line.
