Abstract:
In order to study the frost heave characteristics of soil in the different condition, soil frost heave testing system was designed and developed. The frost heave test system is able to simulated working condition of subgrade under natural environment, which is control the test condition from loading mode of temperature and overburden, and moisture supply considered and lateral constraints. Based on innovative design of temperature control panel and sliding adiabatic devices, the real simulation on process of frost heave of subgrade soil was implemented in the laboratory. And the real-time monitoring of temperature distribution and overburden loading and frost heave in the freezing of soil was implemented. Finally, the saturated silty clay frost heave test results were shows, that the reliability and effectiveness of frost heave test system are verification. And the characteristic of temperature distribution and the rule of frost heave in the freezing of soil were verification.
