Abstract:
Aiming at the low strength of the modified perlite concrete material, which causes shear strength of the modified perlite concrete light slab to be insufficient, and the shear failure to occur easily, a method to improving shear strength of the slab was presented based on the arrangement of stirrup in the slabs. In order to study the influence of stirrup on the behavior of modified perlite concrete, comparative static experiments of four specimens with different stirrup ratio and two specimens without stirrup were made. The failure process and final failure form were investigated, and the influenceor action of stirrup were analyzed for all of specimenson the characteristic load, ductility factor, rigidity, longitudinal reinforcement strain and so on. The experimental result indicates that the reasonable arrangement of stirrup is able to enhance shear capacity effectively, and improve the failure form, the ultimate bearing capacity and characteristic load for the modified perlite concrete light slab, which owns better safety, serviceability and ductility. This provides reference for the engineering application of modified perlite concrete slab.
