Abstract:
Cu-based quantum dots are easy to synthetize and can replace dye,Cd S quantum dots and etc.,as sensitizer of TiO
2 due to their advantages of low cost,non-toxic,good catalytic activities, and narrow band gap. The progresses in in-situ or ex-situ deposition of Cu-based quantum dots on TiO
2,the photon absorption abilities and the charge transfer properties of TiO
2 sensitized by Cu-based quantum dots, and their applications in different fields were reviewed in this paper. In addition, research focused on TiO
2 sensitized by Cu-based quantum dots for photocatalytic hydrogen production in the near future were also analyzed and discussed.
