Abstract:
To solve the problem of construction methods of open graded cement stabilized aggregate( OGCSA),this paper studied the effect of different specimen molding methods of the pavement performance, and compared the properties of OGCSA with that of conventional cement stabilized aggregate. Test results indicate that the specimen molded by vibration method has superior strength and stiffness than the specimens modeled by static pressure method. Fine aggregate content has significant influence on the physical and mechanical performance of OGCSA. Compared with conventional graded specimen, the OGCSA 's frost resistance and permeability coefficient are about 10% and 100 times higher, respectively. Permeability test result reveals a good power exponential relationship between its effective porosity and permeability coefficient, and this test method can be applied widely.
