Abstract:
For the purpose of reducing excess heating without sacrifice of human comfortability, a room-temperature monitoring system was developed in this paper. In this system, the measured temperature data were collected by the wireless transmitter/receiver, all of the data were transmitted by internetwork, and the necessary temperature data were displayed through both the software installed in the terminal computer and the database stored in a server. This made a good integration of advantages when the effective signal covering range, location of terminal computer, cost of communications, and practicality of engineering, etc. , were taken into account. The practical cost of engineering was acceptable and the cost of communications was avoided, which increased the possibility of applications of such a system. By this system, various room-temperature data within the range of a heating district can be displayed at real time and historically recorded. The heating adjustment can also be clearly reflected in the process of room-temperature evolution curve displayed in the terminal software. It thus concludes that the development of such a system provides a technical basis to local adjustment of room temperature for energy saving.
