    On the Cognitive Character of “Harmony of Heaven and Man”

    • 摘要: “天人合一”是中国哲学的基本思维方式,其基础是整体有机的宇宙论。表现在认识特征上则是系统思维与意象思维。系统思维把人与宇宙看作本质上互相贯通的有机系统;意象思维注重事物表象和文化符号与人的精神的交融作用。没有人的精神解读,符号只是死的符号,有了人的精神参与,符号与客观世界才变得有意义。

       

      Abstract: Based on the systematic Cosmology, harmony of heaven and man is the basic way of thinking of the Chinese philosophy, with the cognitive characters of systematic thinking and visual thinking. By systematic thinking, Nature and man are regarded as an organic and unified system in essence. Visual thinking pays attention to the integration of representation, symbols and man's spirit. Symbols are dead without man's understanding. It is the participation of man's spirit that makes the symbols and the subjective world meaningful.
