    Euphemism and Its Function in Spoken English

    • 摘要: 在进一步讨论委婉语的定义及分类、委婉语的产生及理论依据的同时,举例分析了英语口语中的委婉语及其功用;分析表明:委婉语可以起到润滑剂的作用,达到协调人际关系的目的。

       

      Abstract: Further studies are not only focused on the definition,the social background,the composition and the classification of euphemism,but also give enough and detailed attention to the use in spoken English with lots of examples.The study shows that euphemism in spoken English can improve and further smooth the way to the relationship between people.
