Abstract: To improve the country's cultural soft power, it is necessary to innovate the content of culture. The building of sustainable development of culture can not only improve the cultural soft power, but also promote the implementation of the strategy of sustainable development. This paper explores the practical approach of contemporary sustainable development of cultural construction. It points out that the setting up of the overall goal and the fundamental purpose of sustainable development of cultural construction, inheritance and development of sustainable development thinking in traditional culture, the education and popularization of knowledge about sustainable development, the advocacy of green consumption, the development of green science and technology will promote sustainable development of cultural construction and realize the development and prosperity of socialist culture.
