Abstract: In 2008 there will be quite a few Olympics contests to hold in Beijing universities, and it is significantly important for the development of the university. This paper makes the discussion on the effect of these contests on the PE teaching, athletic sports, popular sports, campus culture, campus mental attitude and improving images of higher learning institutions, which provides the reference for the development of universities taking the opportunity of Olympic Games.
