Abstract: Serving China with science is an important manifestation of the patriotic mission of intellectuals and presents new connotations in the new era. Its core value is the realization of the Chinese dream of the great national rejuvenation as the goal, and is to lead social development and promote national construction through independent innovation as the core value. In order to fulfill the patriotic mission, intellectuals must have the spirit of self-confidence and responsibility, must have a rigorous and hard-working scientific attitude; and must have the leading innovation capacity.
