Abstract: Patriotism education is supposed to be an eternal subject and a crucial part of ideological and political education, as well as an intrinsic requirement of implementing fundamental tasks known as “high moral values establishment and people cultivation”. The circumstance of globalization not only benefits the condition of patriotism education's development, but also challenges it deeply. Based on the trend towards globalization and the recognition of patriotism education's variation, this article talks about times connotation and new features of patriotism education, purposing ways of developing patriotism education on reinforcing the system of socialist core values, creating education carriers, expanding educational field, and drawing lessons from advanced methods.
